I’m just learning of Ron’s passing - So sorry to hear this. Ron was such a beautiful person. He was the biggest and strongest guy in elementary school and in high school. Yet he was gentle and kind to everyone he knew. I was one of those guys who hibernated through most of high school – kinda of a late bloomer – shy and quiet and really not that much involved in high school life. Yet every time I had the occasion to run into him he was always so nice to me – I never forgot it. I remember years after high school I saw him walking out of a pizza place in Hauppauge. At that time I was 6 foot four and worked out regularly at the gym. He stopped and said to me. “I’m sure glad I was always nice to you”. I never forgot it. The funny thing is, I will always see him as the bigger and stronger guy that treated me kindly. He had a heart of Gold. You’re a special guy Ron. Till we meet again…

Okay, one last farewell pic, everyone smile. And they all looked at each other half smiling, half sad. Thats it? We all will go to different places, different cities, different states. Are we even going to see each other again? Is it really over? All this time together, the laughter, the smiles, the tears, the memories made, all done? And with all those questions running in through our heads, they gave each other long tight goodbye hugs and hand shakes. We will stay in touch was their promise after high school. I never liked goodbye, it was too forever. See you Ronnie, and thank you for being my good friend in high school. John D.

Ronald was and continues being in loved by many because his heart was full of love, fun, laughter while always being gentle, warm and kind. I knew Ronnie in 4th grade when he came into the class with a beautiful book shelf he made our teacher Mrs. Lyons. He was so proud that he made it with his dad. Then we would see each other in high school, a bright, larger than life bright, bright rocking roll star. Ronnie heaven has a star that lights up the sky reminding us that we all should be more like you. You made this world a much better place for all.
