Arthur "Artie" Sommars Vincent, 79, of Selden, NY, passed away on June 27, 2019, at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY.

He was born on January 22, 1940 in Oceanside, NY, the second child of Arthur Douglas and Celia M. (Sommars) Vincent.

Artie was a kind, gentle soul who lived for many years in Selden, NY. He was a retired office administrator.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy Marie (Vincent) Cunningham.

He is survived by an aunt, Jean Vincent of Hannibal, MO; two first cousins, Laurie Vincent of St. Louis, MO, and Christine Vincent of Vinalhaven, ME; and his generous and caring neighbors: James Donovan, Joe Tortorici, and Erika Horowitz and their families, all of Selden, NY.

His family asks that Artie's memory be honored through private acts of kindness to elderly neighbors.
