It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Azim Maqsood Mohammed on

2026-08-31 in South Ozone Park, NY. Azim was born on 1954-11-16 in Trinidad and

Tobago. He was a Bank Clerk and enjoyed long walks, music and television. Azim lived

a complex life marked by challenges and distance from those who loved him. Though

our relationship with him was strained in later years, we recognize his passing and hope

he has found the peace he could not reach in life. He is survived by his daughter -

Monica Gray (Levi); granddaughters - Leshawna Baksh, Shaneece Gray and Monique Gray;

great granddaughters - Makeda and Selassie; mother - Rosina Mendoza; brothers - Em

Mohammed and Asif Mohammed (Neri) and sister - Kamreen Mohammed. He was

preceded in death by his father - Alrasheik Mohammed; brother - Aziz Mohammed and

niece - Ariel Mohammed. A celebration of life for Azim will be held later in Florida for

family.
