Obituary
We celebrate the life of George Tebbe, born January 12, 1937, in Rheine, Westfalen, Germany, died January 20, 2017. He emigrated to Canada in 1959 and to the United States in 1963, where he met his wife at the Worlds Fair in Flushing, NY in 1964. He became a proud citizen on November 26, 1968.
A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather (Opa), he was preceded in death by his parents Georg and Maria in 1996 and 1997 and his brother Harry in 2002. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Lore (Drewes); brother Ewald; sisters Anna Weblad and Giesela Kain; sons George P. and Roy, grandchildren George D., Matthew, Willow, and Sephina and all his nephews and nieces. We will miss the sight of him walking along the beach, hands behind his back, looking at the ocean and breathing in the fresh air..
A private memorial service will be held this spring. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
