Gwen Sims, 78, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on January 16, 1948, in the Bronx, New York, where her story began, and the roots of her strong and loving spirit were first planted.

Gwen married the love of her life, Bill Sims, on February 17, 1967, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.

She was a proud and loving mother to her son, William Sims, and his wife, Tracy, and her daughter, Dawn, and her husband, Scott. Gwen was also a cherished grandmother to six grandsons: Billy, Max, Josh, Ryan, Zachary, and Daniel, all of whom brought her endless joy and pride

Gwen enjoyed sharing her time between New York and South Florida, creating memories with family and friends in both places she called home. She loved being surrounded by those she cared about most, and her beautiful smile could light up any room. She also found joy in dancing, trips to the casino, and embracing life with energy and enthusiasm.
