Harold J. Barnes (Hap) died on July 8, 2020 at the age of 84 from complications of COPD. Hap was an avid outdoorsman whose travels were to natural, wild places and cold streams favored by trout.  He loved his community, grounded by it and a solid presence in it.  He leaves behind his wife, five children, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service held in early September at the Frank Melville Memorial Park in Setauket, New York.
