Obituary

James A'Neal Dash , 65 lovingly known as Neal, transitioned on September 3, 2022, in Far Rockaway, New York.

Neal was the second of five children. Survived by three siblings, David Anthony (Hasonah) Vernetta,  ( Russell) and Troy Glenn. He was predeceased by his parents David and Jestine Dash, and one sister Julia Sedaris.

Neal was born in Orangeburg SC on December 20, 1956. As a teenager, his family moved from Harlem, NY to Arverne, NY where he continued his education.

Neal attended and graduated from Beach Channel High School, Rockaway Park, NY.

During his childhood, Neal and his siblings enjoyed participating in various talent shows. He had a love for playing chess and countless other games as well as a love for music. He had an awesome sense of humor that made people laugh. His smile was the first thing you saw when he entered a room.

Neal worked numerous jobs throughout his life, he was last employed as a building superintendent for many years.

Neal regularly attended The Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, of Far Rockaway, NY where he gained knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and the truth.

Neal leaves to cherish his memory  daughter Laura Hernandez Morgan , Grandkids Darrien , Chalina  Nephews, Russell Duquan, Delsin (Emily)  Troy Elliott (kali)  Mathew, and Julian, Nieces, LaChanda and Gabriella,

Neal also leaves to cherish his memory a host of grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
