Jason Allen Cook, 41, of New York City, passed away unexpectedly while on vacation with his fiancé and friends on September 23, 2024. A son of Jeffrey Cook and the late Maria Cook, he was born in Fairfax, Virginia on August 14, 1983. A 2001 graduate of Brooke Point High School, Jason went on to study fine arts at Virginia Commonwealth University. In April 2005, he met Frank Steiminger, with whom he spent the rest of his life and to whom he was engaged. Jason enjoyed a long career in the competitive New York wine industry. He loved to entertain and took great pleasure in being a gracious host. His culinary skills will continue to be legendary. In addition to his beloved fiancé , survivors include his father, his brother Joseph Cook and sister-in-law Brittany, his niece Kirra and nephews Ryder and Maximus, his grandparents Ruben and Tina Dominguez, and many other relatives and cherished friends.
