Matthew (Matt) Lishego, age 46, passed away on August 30, 2024, after succumbing to an unexpected illness.

He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Woodland Hills High School in 1996.  He then attended Ohio University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2001.  After college he followed his heart to NYC and fell in love with the city.  He made Astoria, New York his home from 2001 until the time of his death in 2024.

He was a beloved friend to many.  Matthew was kind, empathetic, and funny.  Matthew enjoyed walking, skiing, making his own pizza, and spending time with friends and family.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  He loved the beach and always dreamed of living near the water someday.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Suzon Lishego of Churchill, PA, and Edward (Brenda) Lishego of Ligonier, PA, his sister Christy Lishego (Kevin Abramowicz) of Pittsburgh, PA, his brother David (Katie) Lishego of Wexford, PA, and his beloved nephew and niece, Henry and Brooke Lishego (children of David and Katie Lishego).  A celebration of Matthew's life will be held by his family in Pittsburgh, PA.
