Ronald Dix, 88, of South Setauket passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Born February 13, 1933 in Rockaway Beach, New York, he was the son of Shirley Cohen and Israel Dix. Ron attended Far Rockaway High School and served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean conflict. In 1965 he married Margaret Vermie Homan and became the stepfather of 6 boys, John, Arthur, James, Gary, Christopher and Steven. He lived for a time in Vermont and California and returned to Long Island, New York in 1998. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret, step-sons, John, Arthur and James Homan, his twin sister Myrna and brother Henry. He is survived by his sons Gary Homan, Christopher Homan and Steven Dix, and sisters Marilyn Librizzi and Elaine Johnson. Interment will be at the National Cemetery, Calverton, Long Island, New York.
