Dear Arlene, you will be missed more than words can say. You were the glowing star to so many young and older hikers of the Adirondack Mountain Club - Long Island chapter. Leading hikes and devoting so much of your time to all of us. I learned so much about winter snowshoeing as you were the leader of my first winter hike in the Catskills. You opened a whole new world of winter enjoyment to me, gave me so much joy with your words of wisdom. I looked forward to Columbus camping weekend at Heart Lake because of you.
