It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved niece, Bridget (Shanty) . Shanty was a beautiful soul—smart, independent, and full of grace. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to sponsor her and bring her here from Trinidad, W.I., and to have shared in her journey. Shanty will be dearly missed, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her. Rest in eternal peace, my dear Bridget. Life will never the same without you.
