Carmine Scribano was born on May 14th, 1931, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. At six months old, he traveled briefly to Italy with his parents, Socorsa Mummolo and Mattia Scribano. Carmine is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Fran Dispenza and Joe Scribano.
His survivors include his wife, Nancy Nigito Scribano; his children, Linda Ann Bundy (married to Michael Jason Bundy Sr.), Lisa Marie DeSousa (whose husband Manuel Antonio DeSousa is deceased), Anthony Carmine Scribano, and Michael Joseph Scribano; grandchildren Jessica Lynn VonKohorn (married to Kyle VonKohorn), Michael Jason Bundy Jr., Toniann Marie Leavitt (married to Ryan Leavitt), Allen Michael Scribano, Nicholas Scribano, and Dominic Scribano; and great-grandchildren Noble Manuel Leavitt, Honour Marie Leavitt, Hannah Lynn VonKohorn, and Paisley Jane Scribano.
Carmine lived in Elizabeth, Rahway, Forked River New Jersey, and the west coast of Florida. He attended Grover Cleveland Junior High School, Thomas A. Edison Vocational and Technical High School, and Newark Preparatory School.
During the Korean War, from November 1951 to November 1955, Carmine served in the Air Force. He completed basic training in upstate New York before serving in Alabama and at Webb Air Force Base in Big Springs, Texas, working as a Purchasing Clerk and Airman specializing in jet mechanics.
Carmine began his career at Singer Sewing Machine Company in their Elizabeth plant in the late 1950s. He later joined Schering Plough Pharmaceutical in New Jersey, where he worked as a line mechanic in manufacturing and fulfillment from the 1960s through the 1990s, ensuring pharmaceutical products were accurately processed, counted, and packaged for public and professional use.
He retired with his wife Nancy in Hudson, Florida, where they lived together for the past thirty plus years.
