Well this is a hard one. Aunt Joan you were the best. every where you went you made sure it was a good time. Even going to the casino at Jake's 58 and losing you still had a smile on your face. The best was going out to dinner with my dad (your brother) and me ordering a glass of wine and you dessert. he would get so mad and we loved to torment him. it was our little secret. As we said keep baster lol. I was brought up being your name sake and let me tell you, it was an honor being named after you and being told " your just like your aunt" I could never measure up to such a wonderful, kind, loving, fun and giving person. Words can't describe how much I am going to miss talking to you about good times and bad and we both survived some ruff waters. WE are survivors and I am happy that you are at peace. I love you very much and my heart is not the same. Till we meet again. Missing you, All my LOVE Joan

Love you Nana. I hope you can look down from time to time in between mahjong games and see your competitiveness, creativity and love of chocolate chip cookies in me—and your ornaments on our trees every December. ❤️
