Joseph Angelo Calderon, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 3rd 2020 at the Hamlet Rehabilitation Center in Nesconset New York.
Born May 11th, 1932 in Queens New York to Petra and Clemente Calderon. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Catherine and beautiful granddaughter Stephanie Digeno.
Joseph resided at the Woodhaven Adult Home where he could often be found in the smoking room watching his beloved Yankees or Giants. He loved to joke with the nurses’ aides and on occasion would lead the conga line in dance whenever there was a celebration at the Center.
He is survived by his daughter, Anna Calderon Nalepka. Grandchildren Johnny, Tommy and Brandon Nalepka. Great grandchildren Dominic, Aniyah, Joseph and Little Johnny. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Joseph ‘s character, we ask all who wish to participate, to raise a beer in his memory on opening day of his beloved Yankees. He will be there, cussing in Spanish at the umpires calls, and a smile on his face.
