Just discovered now that Michael had passed away. I got to spend some time with Michael at a number of events pre-2010. A really great guy to say the least. He was good to host a gathering that went beyond the bounds of his Airstream, his awning, and whatever patch of soil, grass, or pavement stretched beyond his Airstream door. Enough so that I just tried to look him up to say hello only to find the sad news here. I still have and occassionally wear a T-Shirt with Michael, martini in hand, scouts uniform on with a Wally Byam Beret on his head. The way it oughta be! There's a great video of Michael on Facebook in the Long Long Honeymoon blog from April of 2019. Go find it!

Mike and I hiked and camped in the mountains of the Northeast. We were close friends and had many adventures. He taught me so many things in the arts. Mike you are in my prayers and thoughts, I am sure you are soaring in heaven. Goodbye old friend......until we meet again. Carlin

To the Depraida family: Michael was the dearest of friends. We had so many good times together and he touched and left an impression on our hearts that will remain until our time here is finished. Michael, you were the brother I never had and my heart is broken that you are gone. I miss you and please save a parking spot for me on the other side.
