Abuela, You were a good samaritan. While you gave birth to four children you also took in friends and acquaintances that needed a home. Giving them a family, food, shelter and hope. What a responsibility! You were a fantastic cook. That may be one of the reasons why I love to cook so much. You might have not been the most sentimental person, but your love through cooking and bringing people together was a treasure. You had a purpose with every meal. I find it remarkable that despite all of the physical struggles these last few years held for you, you still weren’t quite ready to go. Not ready to leave this world and onto the next. You were on the verge of going to Heaven, but you wanted to stay here with us a little longer. That just shows how much you loved us. You are now free to laugh, move, dance, and play in ways you haven’t been able to in years. You are now reunited with your departed family and spending your new days with the Lord. You are Home. You are so very loved and deeply missed. Until we meet again Abuela, we love you.

Tu vara y tu cayado me infundiran aliento.
