If this is the Aram Schumer I knew at Stuyvesant High School, class of 1973, I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. We lost touch after graduation, when he went to Vassar and I went to college in the city. I still to this day treasure our times at school together, lots of talk about rock and roll bands and other popular music of the day. I remember how much he loved Edgar Winter. And I also treasure his irreverence and independent outlook and a certain irresistible fearlessness. May he Rest In Peace and let the beauty of his memory and what he’s left to carry on with his family linger warmly and deeply.

More than five decades ago our paths crossed while in junior high school and I’ll treasure those moments and especially the last time we saw you during our JHS reunion several years ago. It pains me to think that we will never see you again in person but your gentle spirit will live on and will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Aram.

We met in kindergarten and we’re in the same class through junior high school except 6th grade. These were our formative years. I think we did okay. Thankfully we kept in contact all these years and I finally met Liz at our 2014 reunion. May you Rest In Peace my dear friend.

My sincere condolences to Liz, Kate and Hannah. Good bye old friend. Although our paths diverged in adulthood I will always remember the good times we had growing up in Brooklyn. You left this world too soon. May you be at peace.

My condolences to Liz and family and to Marc and family for their loss. I have fond memories of being a classmates with Aram from PS 261 to IS 293 in Brooklyn. I remember playing soccer with him and Marc in the park in Cadman Plaza next to the court house. Rest in peace Aram. James
