Simone R. Bestman

I've been a long distance childhood friend of Simone. Our mothers have been friends since after the war in Europe. I met her several times in Israel as a child and than several times when we were grown up at NY. Last time I visited her on 2010 with my daughter and had a great time together, also met her husband Ray. Since than we kept emailing and talking from time to time until she vanished away. I tried to search for her on the internet a couple of times obviously with no results. Until I came across this today. I am shocked and sad. I have no idea what happened to her ans why she died so young. Simone was a great person and although she was not part of my day-to-day life I loved her and I will miss her

I've been a long time client of Simone's but in the last years it's been more sporadic. I called Simone's cell number in December for an appointment which was disconnected and then I emailed her, but didn't receive a reply. I honestly didn't think anything of it until after the holidays when I emailed again. I thought that Simone was traveling and never occurred to me that anything serious would have happened. I finally thought to google Simone and see if she moved, but instead the notice from this website came up. I'm deeply saddened and in complete shock to see that dear Simone has passed on. Simone had such a beautiful and loving spirit. We connected over our mutual caregiving for our mothers and I remember fondly visiting with Ruth when I would go to the townhouse in Long Beach. Simone also spoke lovingly and with great affection about her cousins and Ray. I remember how happy she was to finally have met someone who she could give and receive love with. I will always remember Simone's contagious smile, laugh and zest for life. I send my sincerest condolences, thoughts and prayers to Ray and Simone's family. She was truly a beautiful and kind person.
